Follow us as we cycle from Seattle to Washington DC

It’s the middle of winter…which means it’s the perfect time to be thinking about biking across the country this summer!  This blog will reflect the preparations and excitement leading up to the launch of the Ride on June 13th.  Then it will be your way of “riding” along with us, connecting with the riders, soaking in the sights, and advocating for alternative transportation- all the way from Seattle to Washington D.C.

Interviewing our only couple riding a tandem bike, Elliot and Sue. They love the bike, and when I mentioned the idea to Jenny, she said she’d give it a shot!

Sometimes I catch Sue on the back of the bike with her bluetooth headset making calls to her friends. Oh Sue.

After feeding us all summer by shipping us delicious ethically raised kosher meat, Naf Hanau, owner of Grow and Behold, is feeding us one last time, grilling the burgers and dogs for our end of ride celebration at the JCC of Washington, DC. Gs
